A boutique olive grove set on 60 acres just a short distance from the vibrant township of Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley, Olio Mio Estate is owned by Lawrie and Lee Rawson.
Captivated by the sheer beauty of the property and its spectacular gardens and sweeping views, Lawrie and Lee purchased Olio Mio Estate in 2021, realising their dream of a retreat from city life and a place to welcome family and friends on weekends and holidays.
With the support of the small but dedicated Olio Mio Estate team, Lawrie and Lee are continuing the legacy of fine olive oil production started by the estate’s former owners.
The 25-acre olive grove on Olio Mio Estate was planted with 2,500 olive trees in 1998. The Italian, Spanish and Greek olive varieties grown on the estate were chosen for their flavour and distinctive characteristics when pressed.
The Corregiola olive produces a herbaceous, gentle oil, light in flavour and extremely versatile.
The Frantoio olive is aromatic and fruity, with a hint of citrus.
The Nevadillo olive, when blended with the Frantoio, delivers robust fruit flavours with a hint of bitterness and pungency.
